We all need good, clean fuel...and this certainly does the trick. It's PACKED with protein, calcium, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals...AND it tastes like dessert. This is an all-purpose kind of a shake. It works for breakfast, lunch, as well as pre/post workout and sports.
If you are not familiar with protein powders, there are a wide variety of choices all with varying benefits. Do some research, talk to someone at your local health food store, and chose the one that best suits your needs. There is inevitably a bit of an artificial taste to most all protein powders. The slight bitterness of the raw chocolate powder (cacao) not only brings some major antioxidants to the table but helps to cover up any weird aftertaste. The peanut butter doesn't hurt either.
So drink up and show me those biceps.
peanut butter + chocolate protein shake
3-4 T peanut butter
3-4 T cacao powder
2-3 scoops protein powder (I used Sunwarrior raw vegan; use your favorite)
32 oz chocolate almond, coconut or hemp milk
about a cup of ice
Blend it all together and serve.
